Reference 116610LV replaced the 16610LV in 2010 and was the first Submariner to feature a green Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert. Rolex produced it until 2020, when the 126610LV took over with a slightly larger case. The green dial-and-bezel combination traces back to the 2003 anniversary Submariner known as the "Kermit" — the 116610LV is commonly called the "Hulk."

The 116610LV succeeded the earlier 16610LV and introduced a ceramic Cerachrom bezel insert in place of the aluminium predecessor. Rolex produced this reference from 2010 until it was replaced by the 126610LV in 2020, making complete, unworn examples from mid-production years increasingly scarce on the secondary market.
